Easter Weekend & "Workation" Week

Notice anything different around here??????????  I have been pondering for some time now to switch over to Square Space to support my blog for many reasons. Thankfully I have my sister who is skilled in the graphic design business. I am pretty sure she will have to dig deep within herself to find the patience to deal with me!

Onto the Easter weekend! Branko had been looking forward to Easter Weekend for weeks now because he had big plans to hang out with my dad all day.

I on the other hand had been excited because it meant a full day of hanging out with my most adorable niece!

We also ordered cupcakes from Kelly's in Burlington! Have you ever been??? If not, you definitely should stop by! Since I found out I had to follow a strict gluten free diet, I was on the hunt for some great bake shops that catered to gluten free foods only. Kelly's does not disappoint.

Something fun at Kelly's is when there is a holiday they change the variety of the cupcake flavors to that holiday theme!

I was happy that everybody in the family really enjoyed them, we cut each cupcake in half so that we could all have a taste of the different flavors. We also pulled up the Easter menu from Kelly's website so that we all knew what we were digging into! They had so many fun flavors to choose from like the Blue-Eyed Daisy cupcake: Banana, Pineapple, and coconut cupcake topped with vanilla coconut butter cream OR Poppa Russ: Banana cupcake filled, with organic lemon sauce and topped with chocolate frosting! They also have a wide variety of daily menu items along with other selections like cookies, ice cream, and donuts!

If you are ever in Burlington, I highly recommend you stop by the bake shoppe!

"WORKATION" - when you go on vacation and stay home all week to work on your house.

We took a full week off to finish the roof on the "Forever Home", below is a sneak peek into how it is going! Stay tuned next week for a full re-cap on what we accomplished and how it looks!
